Charges made public today in Randolph County Court against 20-year-old Alayna Mason.
Mason stole a patrol car from police after she was placed in the passenger seat of the vehicle in handcuffs. At the time of the incident, there were multiple firearms inside the vehicle, according to the probable cause statement.
She is charged with three felony charges, stealing a vehicle, stealing weapons and escape while under arrest for a felony. The probable cause statement mentions she was under arrest for kidnapping, but no kidnapping charges show up as of yet in the court documents filed online.
Mason is a suspect in the disappearance of 16-year-old Kayla Huff of Moberly.
The other suspect is Huff’s boyfriend, a 17-year-old male juvenile.
