A grand jury has indicted a man accused in a deadly assault at Fulton State Hospital earlier this year.
Court records show Jabril Kanatzar now faces charges of first-degree murder and fourth-degree assault.
Investigators say Kanatzar, who was a patient at the facility, attacked 53-year-old Christos Karagiannis in January 2025 allegedly punching and stomping on his head multiple times.
When another person tried to intervene, authorities say Kanatzar assaulted that individual as well before continuing the attack.
Karagiannis died two days later.
Kanatzar is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning.
