Two people were seriously injured in a crash Wednesday morning in Cole County near St. Thomas.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before noon on Route B south of Spring Ridge Road.
Troopers say a 67-year-old woman from Meta was driving a Honda CR-V and attempted to turn onto Route B when the SUV entered the path of an oncoming semitruck.
The driver and a 66-year-old male passenger, both from Meta and not wearing seat belts, suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia.
The driver of the semitruck was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
