Storms move through, dump heavy rain

A couple of tornado’s touched down in Missouri yesterday. Warnings were issued for Pettis, Saline and Cooper Counties in the Country 96 listening area, with rotation spotted in Pettis County near Dresden.

A tornado was also on the ground briefly near Sparta in southwest Missouri and another storm track was in Daviess and Grundy County.

Damage was reportedly minimal with most of the storms.

Then overnight the system dumped heavy rain across the listening area.

Meanwhile, over 1300 Boone Electric customers were without power overnight after these storms rolled through. A couple of small Outages this morning still in Cooper and Moniteau counties in mid-Missouri.
