One lane of Highway 54 in Cole County was temporarily shut down Monday due to a car fire.
Firefighters responded to a vehicle on Westbound US 54 near the Montecello Road intersections at around 6 p.m. yesterday and found the engine fully involved in flames.
The fire was extinguished within two minutes of deploying a fire hose and no injuries were reported.
