An Indiana woman is in custody in Callaway County after leading authorities on a chase on I-70 Sunday.
Authorities reportedly pulled over 32-year-old Peyton Downs’ vehicle at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday, but when they asked her to get out of the car, she sped off, and threw a bag of powder out her window, later identified as 30 grams of cocaine.
She reportedly reached speed of 130 miles per hour in the chase, and the chase went on for about 35 miles, but authorities pulled her over after using spike strips.
Prosecutors charged Downs with Aggravated Fleeing A Stop , Tampering With Physical Evidence In Felony Prosecution, and Deliver Controlled Substance.
She is being jailed without bond.
