Jeff City Police have reported that that they found the suspect in a hit and run yesterday that injured two Columbia residents.
The driver reportedly hit two people who were walking in the road and drove off. The incident happened around 10:49 a.m. Monday on the intersection of Idlewood and Route C.
Criminal charges are pending for two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to register a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
36-year-old Roberto Gutierrez and 32-yea-old Jesus Contreras, both from Columbia, Mo., were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
