A Holts Summit man is behind bars after being accused of raping a 13-year-old.
Authorities were called to a residence on Monday, July 13 to a residence on Old Lohman Road, where someone reported that their 13-year-old friend told them that they had been pressured into drinking alcohol and having sex with an adult man. Witnesses reported that the man was 23-year-old Fernando Gutierrez Yordi, and the alleged victim also said that Yordi raped her.
Prosecutors charged him with First Degree Statutory Rape of a Person Less Than 14 Years of Age and First Degree Sexual Abuse of a Person Less Than 14 Years of Age.
Yordi had left the state, but after a call from authorities he agreed to return to the state, where authorities took him to the Cole County Jail without bond.
