After the Cardinals gave up a lead late, the Redbirds stormed back in the bottom of the 8th with a three-run uprising, spurred by rookie JJ Wetherholt’s two-run double and came back to beat the Colorado Rockies yesterday, 7-4. George Soriano got his 5th win of the year after giving up the tying run in the top of the 8th inning. Riley O’Brien notched his 29th save of the season.
The Cardinals took two out of three from the Rockies, and have won five of their last seven as they host the Phillies tonight in the Lou.
