An 85-year-old man serving a life sentence has died at the Jefferson City Correctional Center.
The Missouri Department of Corrections says Gene Clark was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon. Clark had been incarcerated at the prison since 1981.
He was serving a life sentence without parole for 50 years for capital murder, along with four counts of first-degree assault.
