A man who pleaded guilty in a deadly Boone County hit-and-run is set to be sentenced Monday afternoon.
Donald Legleiter pleaded guilty in August to involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, property damage and leaving the scene of an accident.
He is accused of backing his SUV over Jeffrie Cash on Allen Street in McBaine in July 2025.
Court documents say Legleiter left the scene and abandoned the SUV in a bean field.
Cash suffered severe head and upper-body injuries and died several days later.
Legleiter is scheduled to be sentenced at 2:30 this afternoon at the Boone County Courthouse.
