A 40-year-old man is in custody after a SWAT standoff at a Jefferson City home Wednesday afternoon.
Police say an officer spotted the man near the 100 block of Ventura Avenue and recognized him as having outstanding felony warrants.
He ran into a nearby home and hid in the attic. Officers used thermal imaging to locate him, and pepper-spray projectiles were deployed before he surrendered.
His name has not been released. Additional charges of resisting arrest and child neglect have been submitted to prosecutors for consideration.
