The Columbia bookseller MBS reports it is being purchased by Barnes and Noble.
A press release states the sale price was for 174.2 million dollars.
Both companies will have more than one thousand four hundred and ninety physical and online bookstores and serve over 6 million college students.
The announcement was made today (Tuesday).
