The Missouri Department of Conservation will be hosting a discovery hike on Saturday.
The hike will start at Dry Fork Campsite and will go for approximately 3 miles, through woods and fields.
Registration for the event is required by tomorrow. The department recommends children 8 and older are accompanied by an adult, and all participants wear sturdy shoes.
The group will leave from the Runge Nature Center in Jefferson City. Transportation to the New Bloomfield location will be provided.
