Three members of Missouri Task Force One were activated this morning [Wednesday] to deploy to the Hawaiian Islands in preparation of Hurricane Lane.
Missouri Task Force One is a federal Urban Search and Rescue team, which is a division of the Boone County Fire Protection District.
Heading to Hawaii in preparation of the storm’s landfall are a Situation Unit Leader, Urban Search and Rescue Technical Specialist and a Structural Specialist.
Hurricane Lane is expected to move very close or over Hawaii tomorrow [Thursday] through Saturday.
