Missouri Task Force One is continuing their operations in North Carolina following Hurricane Florence.
According to the Boone County Fire Protection District, the teams are divided into two groups, one in Brunswick County and the other in Leland. Both conducted targeted searches of neighborhoods and individual houses yesterday. [Wednesday]
The teams rescued a combined 14 people and 2 cats, as well as checking on 10 people that were sheltering in place, and providing assistance to 50 residents.
The teams are preparing for water rescue and evacuation operations as rivers in the area crest.
