The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report when a woman found several $100 bills under her windshield wiper at a local business on Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office reports a woman flagged down a deputy after she noticed the bills. The deputy determined the money was counterfeit and removed them.
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols says there are unconfirmed reports two male subjects were in the Wal-Mart parking lot handing out the bills.
The investigation is ongoing.
