The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of a Vandalia man with the help of their K-9 after a traffic stop.
According to the department they stopped 40 year old Carl Eugene Nevills III along East Liberty in Mexico on Thursday afternoon for a traffic violation.
The man was reportedly giving inconsistencies and had some deceptive behavior and denied a search of his vehicle.
Audrain County Sheriff’s Office Canine Chal was deployed and indicated drugs in the vehicle.
