Mexico Assistant City Manager Russell Runge, gave an update at a Mexico City Council Work Session tonight (Monday).
The current unemployment rate sits at 2.4%.
Runge says this is a positive.
144 business licenses were issued this year with 44 new licenses.
Runge says when it comes to 2020 the Economic Development Department is looking at several issues.
The average annual wage in Mexico is estimated at $36,336, while the average hourly wage is estimated to be $17.47.
