SSM Hospitals In Mid-Missouri Restrict Visitors

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospitals are changing visitor guidelines as COVID-19 cases rise.

Effective Monday, November 23 the hospitals in Mexico and Jefferson City will no longer allow visitors with a few exceptions.

Limited visitors may be allowed for end-of-life situations, and pediatric and surgery patients may have one guardian or support person with them.

Family Birth Center patients are allowed one support person for the duration of their stay.

In Mexico, visitors are to use the Emergency Room entrance between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m daily and in Jefferson City, use the Outpatient Entrance between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. weekdays and from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on weekends.

Visitors must wear masks and stay in the patient room or designated waiting area.
