State offices in Missouri will be closed tomorrow (Friday) in observance of Juneteenth. The Office of Administration made that announcement this (Thursday) evening. Juneteenth falls on June 19th and is the nation’s first new federal holiday in nearly 40 years. Juneteenth commemorates the day that slavery came to an end in the United States.

The Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball team ended up going 0-4 in the Rolla Holiday Tournament. Saturday morning they lost the final game of the tourney 53-43 against Carthage. The boys basketball team fell to 2-5 on the year. The next game will be on Friday, January 3rd at home against NCMC rival the Fulton Hornets.
