The Community R-VI Lady Trojans basketball team lost 44 to 37 to Cairo in the Class 2 District Championship game tonight (Friday) at the Sturgeon High School.
It was a back and forth ball game.
The Lady Trojans held a 20-17 lead going into halftime.
Cairo then outscored Community R-VI 27-17 in the second half.
Lady Trojans guard Sarah Angel led all scorers with 17 points.
The Lady Trojans finish the season with a record of 23-4.
