Several community members gathered at the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce building last (Thursday) night to listen candidates running for the Mexico City Council and the Mexico School Board.
The Audrain County League of Women Voters hosted the forum and Voter Service Chairwoman for the League-Alice Leonatti was the moderator.
Each candidate was given a certain amount of time in each round of questioning.
Candidates running for Mexico City Council are incumbent Chris Williams. And challenger Josh Price.
There is only one candidate seeking a one year unexpired term on the Mexico School Board which Cara Klovis.
There are 2 seats for three year terms up for grabs on the Mexico School Board and 3 candidates running.
They are Nicole Jahn.
Heather DeMint.
And Scott Nichols.
