Jury Finds Kirksville Man Guilty Of Chance Davis Murder

A jury is finding a Kirksville man guilty in the murder of a man in Mexico, in 2020.

Sadiq Moore is now convicted for second degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, burglary in the first degree, and armed criminal action.

Chance Davis of Mexico was killed on June 27, 2020 after a woman reported that an intruder had come into the house and shot her 25-year old boyfriend.

The jury found Moore guilty after deliberating for almost four hours.

Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney Jacob Shellabarger was assisted by the Missouri Attorney General’s office in trying the case to a Randolph County jury in Huntsville during a three day trial.

Moore will be sentenced in July.

Deyton Curtis Fisher and Timothy Midgyett charged with their involvement in the Chance Davis murder will have their cases continue in Linn County and Audrain County, respectively.
