The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team beat the Macon Tigers 5-4 last (Friday) night.

Jack Wilburn was the wining pitcher allowing six hits and two runs over four innings.

Austin Maxwell started the game for the Bulldogs.

The ace went two innings and struck out one.

Mexico’s Tyler Thoenen and Andrew Runge each collected multiple hits for the Bulldogs.

Mexico handed Macon their first loss of the season and avenged a district loss to the Tigers from last year.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 6-2 to the Arizona Diamondbacks last (Friday) night.

Adam Wainwright walked five and gave up three runs.

Paul Goldscmidt hit his first home run of the season and extended his hitting streak to 8.

The Cardinals and D-Backs play again this (Saturday) afternoon at 1:15.

The Kansas City Royals lost 12-2 to the New York Yankees.

The game included a 34-minute rain delay before being called off after the eighth inning.

Manager Mike Matheny was ejected from the game for arguing with an umpire who called Bobby Witt Jr. out at third base.

The Royals and Yankees play at the K at 6:10 tonight (Saturday).

The St. Louis Blues dropped the final game of the regular season 7-4 to the Vegas Golden Knights last (Friday) night.

The Blues finished third in the Central Division and will face the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Game one is set for Monday.
