Mexico Racing Enthusiast Carter Brooks

Ten-year- old Mexico kart-racer Carter Brooks is receiving some recognition as the most improved driver in his class at the Hams Prairie International Speedway.

The award was given to Brooks yesterday (Sunday).

He races a winged kart and just started racing last year.

Along with racing at Hams Prairie he also competes at the Sebastian Speedway in Gladstone, Illinois.

Carter won first heat in his race last week and has continued to get faster in the last few weeks.

Carter is the son of Craig Brooks and Ronica Means of Mexico.

And the grandson of Betty Jo Sydenstricker and Jim and Ronda Means.
