Badly in need of a starting pitcher, the St. Louis Cardinals closed a deal to acquire 33-year old, left-hander, Jose Quintana from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Included in the trade was right-handed reliever Chris Stratton. Quintana is enjoying a bounce back season for the Pirates.
