The Cardinals are officially naming Dan McLaughlin’s replacement after his resignation.

Chip Caray will be in the TV booth as the new play by play announcer, following in his grandfather’s footsteps.

Legendary announcer and Chip’s grandfather Harry Caray called games for the Cards for nearly a quarter century, from 1945 until 1969 before moving to the Cubs organization.

Chip spent 20 seasons with the Atlanta Braves.

The lone game in the NHL last night was in Canada as the Blues took on the Winnipeg Jets in a Central Division battle.

The Jets improve their season record following the win last night, 4 – 2.

The Blues are now 23-25-3 on the season and are back in action after the All Star break.

The Mexico Bulldogs are on the road tonight taking on the Macon Tigers in a doubleheader.
