The Cards pick up a shut out win over the Pirates last night, but they got off to a slow start.

Runs started firing in the Cards’ half of the sixth inning.

St. Louis ended up with 8 hits, Nolan Gorman drove in a pair and the Cards went on to a 3 – 0 win.


On the other side of the state, Atlanta pounded KC 10 – 3.

Kris Bubic gets the start for the Royals this afternoon as they look for revenge against the Braves.

First pitch set for 3:10.


In high school baseball last night, North Callaway shut out Clopton at home 10 – 0 and Paris lost to Sturgeon at home 11 – 2.


It’s week nine in the XFL and today, the Vegas Vipers head to Houston at 11:30 while the nightcap sees Orlanda taking on the Brahmas in San Antonio at 6:00.

Tomorrow, it’s Arlington in D. C. taking on the Defenders followed by the Battlehawks of St. Louis hosting the Seattle Sea Dragons at 2:00.

If the Battlehawks win, they advance to the playoffs to meet the Defenders who have already clinched a North Division berth.


If you can’t get enough football, this is the opening day for the 2023 USFL season.

The games will be held in one of four cities: Memphis, Birmingham, Alabama, Detroit, or Canton, Ohio.

This afternoon at 3:30, the Philadelphia Stars are in Memphis taking on the Showboats and at 6:30 the Birmingham Stallions host the New Jersey Generals.

Tomorrow morning at 11:00, the Michigan Panthers visit the Houston Gamblers in Memphis and in Birmingham, it’s the New Orleans Breakers hosting the Pittsburgh Maulers.
