Thunderstorm Causes Hail Damage In Mexico

Storm damage is being reported in several places of the listening area following a thunderstorm yesterday (Thursday) afternoon that brought golf ball sized hail.

In Mexico the license bureau on North Abat had damage to siding on the back of the building.

Several residents on Savannah Court and Curtis had windows knocked out at their homes due to the hail.

Mexico Public Safety reported damage to the north part of town where numerous cars and homes suffered damage from the hail and fallen tree limbs.

Officers cleared a couple of streets blocked by smaller limbs or debris and responded to a couple of reports of utility lines down.

High winds knocked down a powerline in Hallsville.

Damage to several houses in the Vandalia area was also reported on social media.

Mexico Public Safety said they were not made aware of any significant power outages and there were no known injuries from the storm.
