The Audrain County Crisis Intervention Services in Mexico has an acting interim director following the resignation of Executive Director Peggy Payne last week.
Payne was the Executive Director for a little over five years.
Payne tells KXEO News she is pursuing other endeavors.
Kathy Yole has been named interim director as July 20, 2023.
Yole has worked for ACCIS for over 20 years as a child advocate.
The ACCIS Board will meet in August to decide the next steps in hiring a new Executive Director.
An ACCIS board member says until then, Yole will lead the organization in continuing to provide free and confidential services to domestic and sexual violence victims.
