A Vandalia man and Vandalia teen have serious injuries after a motorcycle accident in Pike County yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol accident report it happened on Eastbound US 54, east of Pike County 485.
A 2000 Yamaha XVS650 driven by 40 year old Joseph H. Resor of Vandalia hit an unknown object in the roadway, after impact the motorcycle overturned and traveled off the roadway ejecting Resor and his passenger a 16-year-old girl from Vandalia.
Both of them were taken by air evacuation to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.
