Area High School Week Three Scores And Recap Of Friday Night Lights

The Mexico Bulldogs lost to the Odessa Bulldogs in Mexico 55-12 on Friday night. Mexico scored their first touchdown in the 2nd quarter on a 34 yard score from Drew DeMint.

Mexico’s second touchdown would come in the 2nd quarter as well.

And again it was Drew DeMint on a 59 yard rushing score.

Mexico had a total of 189 yards rushing in the game.

Drew DeMint had 148 yards on the ground to lead the way.

Peyton Hoover was next with 22 yards rushing and Kaiden Benne had 15 yards rushing.

Mexico will play their North Central Missouri Conference game of the season next Friday on the road when they play the Marshall Owls.

The Centralia Panthers improved to a perfect 3-0 after defeating Palmyra 35-24 in week 3 of high school football action.

Centralia’s senior quarterback Cullen Bennett went 11 for 18 passing with 187 yards and one touchdown through the air.

On the ground Bennett rushed for 121 yards and had two scores.

Centralia running back Jesse Caballero rushed for 107 yards and had 2 scores.

Centralia is back at home next week hosting Brookfield.

In other week three games the Hallsville Indians won a shootout over Boonville 52-50.

  • Montgomery County in a squeaker 24-22 over Van Far.
