Audrain Ambulance District To Replace Ambulance Lost In Fire Quicker Than Anticipated

The Audrain Ambulance District will be getting an ambulance sooner than expected.

Last month on August 22, an Audrain Ambulance District ambulance was a total loss after it caught fire on I-70 while transporting a patient to Columbia.

Audrain Ambulance District director Graeme Goodwin says generally speaking it takes two to three years to get a new ambulance ordered and delivered.

Goodwin says the cost for the new ambulance is over $330,000.

The cause of the ambulance fire on August 22, is still under investigation.
