A Mexico girl is recovering from injuries after being hit by a vehicle yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Mexico Public Safety responded to the area of West Boulevard and Dogwood just after 3pm.
Responding personnel found that a 9-year-old girl was walking home from school when she crossed the road in front of a 1995 GMC being driven westbound by 33-year-old Christina Karkut of Mexico.
Karkut attempted to stop, however could not avoid a minor collision.
The girl was taken to MU Urgent Care in Mexico by a parent, where her injuries were treated and released.
Mexico Public Safety is reminding pedestrians and drivers to watch out for each other, especially before and after school.
