Mexico High School Boys Cross Country Claim NCMC Team Title And Seven Runners Earn All-Conference Honors

It was a huge day for the Mexico High School Cross Country team in Fulton today (Saturday), as they competed in the North Central Missouri Conference meet.

Coach Lucas Brenneman says “It was a great day of running for the Mexico Bulldogs Cross Country Team as the we capped off Homecoming week with the Boys Team winning the team title and 7 DXC runners earning All-Conference honors.

We’ve known all season that we had a shot to win the team title. We knew we’d have to have a complete race and pack up well. The boys rose up to the challenge and came away with the victory.

(2016 was the last time the boys won the conference and ironically it was on this same course in Fulton.)

Outside of the Boys team title we had great individual success as well with 7 runners finishing in the top 14 to earn All Conference honors.”

Those runners were:

  • Jr. Hunter Bickell 5th
  • So. Brady McCoy 6th
  • Jr. Andrew Peuster 7th
  • Jr. Tyler Grimes 8th
  • Sr. Guy Fairchild 11th
  • So. Carter Nading 13th
  • So. Maggie Ramsey 6th
