Due to an ongoing local manhunt the Montgomery County R2 school will not be in session Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
The announcement was made on the school’s Facebook Page and says they are out of school out of an abundance of caution and a desire to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
The Montgomery City Police Department reports that they along with members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are currently working on the scene of a serious domestic assault.
The victim is in safe hands and the man is believed to have fled the scene, on foot earlier this (Wednesday) morning.
Anyone who sees anything out of place is asked to call 911.
