Mexico Public Safety says a 17-year-old boy is facing charges after a theft in Mexico on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
According to the news release Mexico Public Safety officers learned of a theft just before 7:30 on Tuesday night in the 500 block of West Boulevard.
It was reported that while a pizza delivery person was attempting to make a delivery in that area, a man approached the delivery person, took the food order and ran.
An investigation led to the detention of a 17-year-old boy.
The teen was processed at Mexico Public Safety Department and released to a guardian pending charges by the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division.
Mexico Public Safety says an 18-year-old man was also identified and a case will be forwarded to the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney for his role in the theft.
There were no injuries from the incident.
