Two high school teams in the listening area punched their tickets to the semifinals of the state tournament on Friday, November 17, 2023.

In the Class 3 state quarterfinals it was Blair Oaks with a 47-29 win over Westminster Christian.

In a Class 4 shootout it was Lutheran North outlasting Hannibal 70-61.

Today’s games will see the undefeated Bowling Green Bobcats playing East Buchanan at 1pm.

Father Tolton Trailblazers hosts Fair Grove at 2.

The Rock Bridge Bruins take a trip to St. Louis today for a match-up with De Smet.

Kickoff is at 1pm.

And the Jefferson City Jays take on McDonald County at 1pm.

The Missouri Tigers football team will play it’s final home game and honor seniors tonight (Saturday) at Faurot Field when they host the Florida Gators.

Kickoff is at 6:30.

In some baseball news the St. Louis Cardinals made the decision to non-tender veteran catcher Andrew Knizner and veteran right-handed pitchers Dakota Hudson and Jake Woodford, as well as Minor League first baseman/outfielder Juan Yepez.

Those moves brought the franchise’s 40-player roster to 36.

According to president of baseball operations John Mozeliak the Cardinals plan to pursue pitching, pitching, pitching this off-season.

The St. Louis Blues will be on the road in Los Angeles on Saturday night playing the Kings.
