Final Scores From The Thirteenth Annual Gary Filbert Classic

The 13th annual Gary Filbert Classic wrapped up on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

The opening game saw the North Callaway Lady Thunderbirds defeat the Paris Lady Coyotes 59-45.

North Callaway boys made it a clean sweep over Paris in game two with an 82-57 win.

In game three the Community R6 Trojans edged Calvary Lutheran by a score of 57-52.

The Trojans outscored Calvary 34-19 in the second half and hit 10-three pointers.

Community’s Mason Carroll was the MVP with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals.

In game three the Community R6 Lady Trojans bested Harrisburg 58-48.

Game 6 the Mexico Lady Bulldogs defeated the Van-Far Lady Indians 48-34.

Claire Hudson was the MVP with 22 points that included five made three pointers.

In the grand finale and the seventh game of the day the Mexico Bulldogs boys suffered their first loss of the season 63-52 to Raytown.

Mexico had two players with double digit scoring including DJ Long with 19 points and PJ Perkins who finished with 14.

Mexico falls to 8-1 on the year.
