Mexico Board Of Education Meets In Special Session To Discuss Superintendent Search
The Mexico Board of Education met in special session to set a timeline for a superintendent search on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
The board voted to not use an outside agency and instead conduct the search internally.
The position will be posted starting January 29th and will be closed on February 16th.
The Board of Education also decided to form a committee to help in the selection process.
The committee will consist of administration, board members, support staff, a community member and a retired teacher.
A community forum for the two final candidates is also planned.
The hope is to have a new superintendent hired by the end of February.
