Mexico Public Safety Makes Two Arrests In Connection To Copper Thefts

Two men are facing charges after being arrested in connection to several copper thefts in Mexico.

According to a news release from Mexico Public Safety on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, their department took several reports of copper being stolen from air conditioner units in the central business district area.

An investigation led to the arrests of 46-year-old Joseph F. Hultz and 23-year-old Joshua C. Kennemore around 9am on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Hultz was taken to the Audrain County Jail for five counts of First Degree Property Damage and Bond Condition Violations.

Kennemore was released pending charges from the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney for his involvement.

On Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, the Mexico Public Safety Department took four reports of copper being stolen from air conditioner condenser units in the central business district area.

Investigation indicates that the damage and thefts occurred during the morning hours of the 9th and the 10th and that two white males were involved.
