Mexico Special Olympics Athletes Earns Third Place Finish

On Thursday, April 25th, the Mexico Special Olympics Athletes and Unified Partners traveled to the Special Olympics Headquarters in Jefferson City to participate in the Unified Track and Field competition.

At this event, schools enter their athletes and unified partners into events that best match their ability to earn the most points for their school.

Mexico won third place overall.

On Saturday, April 27th, the Mexico Special Olympics Athletes again traveled to Jefferson City—this time to Capital City High School to compete in the Area Games.

This was an individual competition and each athlete brought home several medals.
