Fulton Police Department Warns Students About Planned Fight At Carver Park

The Fulton Police Department is warning students of potential enforcement for a planned public fight for Friday, May 17, 2024.

The department alleges that a Snapchat post is being spread amongst local students, looking to recruit fighters and spectators for a 2pm event at Carver Park.

The viral post says that the fight will be recorded and posted to YouTube.

It also encourages spectators to bet on fighters, and suggest that there may be prize money for the fighters involved.

Fulton police shared the information in a Facebook post and reminded that fighting in public is a crime, and that it intends to arrest anyone doing so.

The Snapchat post alleges this is part of the Guns Down, Gloves Up movement, which encourages youth from underprivileged homes to fight in boxing rings as opposed to resorting to guns on the street.
