Two Teens Injured In Boating Accident At Mark Twain Lake

Two people were taken to a hospital after being injured in a boating accident at Mark Twain Lake in Monroe County during the afternoon hours of Saturday, May 25, 2024.

According to accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol it happened when New London resident, 54-year-old Jason Utterback drifted into a tube occupied by 19- year old Jacob Utterback and 19-year old Mackenzie Adams.

The report says both teens were hit by the propeller.

Jacob Utterback was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by helicopter after receiving serious injuries.

Adams had minor injuries and was also taken to University Hospital for treatment.
