Stover Man Charged In Connection To Death Of Hallsville Man

Murder charges have been brought against a Stover man in connection the death of a Hallsville man.

According to online court records 50-year-old Chad Lawrence Armstrong faces charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

First responders found the body of 71-year-old Beuford Wilson, under a tree on Beechnut Road south of Stover and his death was ruled an intentional homicide after the Greene County Medical Examiner found gunshot wounds while performing an autopsy.

According to court documents, Morgan County sheriff’s deputies found a pickup truck registered to Wilson with bullet holes in it on the scene June 30th.

Deputies believe Wilson was killed in a different location then transported to the scene on Beechnut Road in his own vehicle according to court documents.

GPS data from Wilson’s vehicle allegedly showed it was at Armstrong’s residence just before noon on June 29th.
