Mexico Public Safety Responds To Early Morning Accident On Highway 54 Bypass

A deer in the road is the cause of a one-car accident in Mexico on the 54 Bypass during the morning hours of Thursday, August 15, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Anmol Singh of Lathrope, California was traveling east on the Highway 54 Bypass about two miles south from South Clark.

The vehicle swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway.

The vehicle overcorrected and jackknifed the trailer.

No injuries were reported.

The vehicle received minor damage to the front bumper and moderate damage to the back drivers side cab.
