Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 31-year-old Haylon J. Jacobs for First Degree Trespassing and Resisting Arrest on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, August 16, 2024:

  • Unwanted subject on Martin Luther King.
  • Property dispute at Martin Luther King.
  • Stealing or theft on West Jackson and at East Holt.
  • Careless and imprudent driver at 1210 East Liberty.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
  • Suspicious person on North Jefferson.
  • Domestic physical incident at North Clark.

Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Saturday, August 17, 2024:

  • Peace disturbance on West Love.
  • Suspicious person at West Liberty.
  • Vehicle break-in on Beacon and at Cherry.
  • Domestic physical incident on Garfield.
  • Threats at East Seminary.
  • An assault without injury at 2783 South Clark.
  • Suspicious vehicle on East Promenade.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Sunday, August 18, 2024:

  • Stealing or theft on West Monroe and at 508 East Liberty.
  • Domestic physical incident on Rock Springs Drive and at West Monroe and on Carrico.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on South Clark/Boulevard and at West Breckenridge/Tyronn Lue Park.
  • Property damage reported at Quail Hill Road and on West Pearson.
  • Harassment at Rock Springs Drive.
  • Shoplifting at 420 West Promenade.
  • Threats on East Holt and at Latney.

Car accidents:

Mexico Public Safety responded to several car accidents over the weekend.

A two-car accident happened on South Clark at Boulevard on Friday, August 16, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Ronald Couch of Mexico was traveling east on Boulevard to merge onto South Clark and was hit by a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Donna Walker of Mexico who was traveling east on Boulevard to merge onto South Clark.

No injuries were reported.

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident on North Western at West Monroe on Saturday, August 17,

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old D’Areon Smith of Mexico had the front left fire come off.

The tire rolled eastbound on Monroe and hit the northwest traffic light at North Western and Monroe.

The tire then bounced back and hit a vehicle on the roof driven by a 16-year-old Fulton girl.

No injuries were reported.
