The St. Louis Cardinals lost 7-5 to the San Diego Padres at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

The Cardinals took a fifth inning lead following Paul Goldschmidt’s two-run home run, but the Padres rallied for two runs in the seventh and one in the ninth to come away with the victory.

St. Louis went 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

The Kansas City Royals moved into a tie with the Cleveland Guardians for the American League Central lead with a 6-1 win at Progressive Field.

After three wins in two days, the Royals flipped what was a three-game deficit into a tie.

The Kansas City Chiefs released wide receive Kadarius Toney ahead of Tuesday’s deadline for teams to reduce their rosters to 53.

Toney is now subject to waivers, and any claiming club would take on his $2.53 million salary in 2024, the final year of his rookie contract after Kansas City declined Toney’s fifth-year option in the spring.

Brayden Schenn, Jake Neighbors, Phillip Brobert, Dylan Holloway and head coach Drew Bannister are all scheduled to appear at the second-annual Blues and Brews event on September 20th at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery.

The outdoor street party, will also feature live music from country music star Matt Stell and The Charles Glenn Group.

The Anheuser-Busch Brewery is located at 1200 Lynch Street in St. Louis.

Doors to the event will open at 6pm and free parking will be available in front of the tour center and other nearby lots.
