
The Mexico Bulldogs football team will be back on the road for a Week 5 game against the Hannibal Pirates on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Both teams come in with identical records of 2-2 overall and 1-1 in North Central Missouri Conference play.
Mexico head coach Steve Haag says this will be a physical game, however believes his teams schedule the first three weeks of the season has prepared for the physicality that Hannibal will bring.
AM 1340 KXEO will be carrying the pre-game starting at 6:30 featuring an interview with head coach Steve Haag.
Kick off is set for 7pm.

Checking some of the games tonight (Friday), the Country 96 game of the week will be the 0-4 Moberly Spartans visiting the 0-4 Fulton Hornets.

The Mexico High School girls volleyball team defeated the Bowling Green Lady Bobcats 3-2 at the Mexico High School Sports Complex on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The Lady Bulldogs got down early losing the first two sets 16-25, 24-25.
Mexico would mount a monumental comeback winning the next two sets 25-16, 25-21.
The Lady Bulldogs completed the comeback with a 16-14 win in the final set.
The Lady Bulldogs won their third consecutive game this week and improved to 7-3 on the season.

The Mexico High School girls tennis team defeated Boonville 5-4 on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Mexico head coach Kim Costley says “It was a tight until the very last match finished.
We continue to gain more experience and improve as we work towards our upcoming conference tournament.
Our doubles teams again won 2 of the 3 varsity matches.
Net play has been a focus in practice and games and we are beginning to see some better decision making.
It was good to have Jyllian back from injury.
Whitworth, Hudson, & Gleeson came out on top in both their doubles and
singles matches.
These seniors have really stepped up and continue to lead and encourage
their teammates.”

The St. Louis Cardinals dropped the final game in their series with the Colorado Rockies losing by a score of 10-8 on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The Cardinals had a lead going into the 8th inning, when the bullpen gave up five runs.
St. Louis goes to San Francisco tonight (Friday) for the start of their final three games this season.

The Kansas City Royals completed a series sweep over the Washington Nationals with a 7-4 win on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Royals relievers did not allow a run to the National all series.
They have now thrown 19 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to Saturday against the San Francisco Giants.
The Royals can clinch a postseason berth today (Friday0 with a win over the Atlanta Braves or a Minnesota Twins loss to the Baltimore Orioles.
Mizzou Athletics is the recipient of a $25 million donation to help pay for improvements at Memorial Stadium.
The athletics department made the announcement yesterday (Thursday) saying the donor wishes to remain anonymous.
The $25 million donation puts Mizzou at around $90 million toward its stated goal of raising $125 million in leadership philanthropic support.
The total cost of the project is estimated at around $250 million.
